Marco Mizzau (Rome, 27 December 1977) is Chairman of Blacktrace, a London-based strategic advisory boutique, and co-founder of Mizzau & Partners, an independent strategic advisory platform. His work focuses on strategic decisions at the intersection of private capital, industrial transformation, infrastructure, governance and artificial intelligence.
He was previously Chief Executive Officer of Consip S.p.A., the national procurement authority of the Italian public administration and one of the largest public procurement systems in Europe. During his mandate he led the evolution of the organisation's operating model and the development of the digital infrastructure for public procurement, supporting transformation programmes on a national scale.
He also served as Director General of Inarcassa, one of Italy's leading institutional investors, where he coordinated the institution's strategic management and the evolution of its operating model and investment instruments.
Earlier he spent almost a decade at Accenture, EY and KPMG, holding Senior Manager roles and working on strategic transformation, financial restructuring and digital innovation programmes for large industrial groups across the energy, utilities, infrastructure and services sectors, with projects developed in Europe, Turkey, Russia and the Middle East.
He began his career at Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, taking part in the industrial reorganisation programmes and privatisation processes that reshaped the group in the early 2000s.
Today he advises private equity funds, institutional investors, entrepreneurs and industrial groups on growth strategies, governance, capital allocation and complex transformation programmes. He operates primarily across the industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, technology and healthcare sectors.
